Atrius Health
Transforming Care.
Improving Lives.
Investing in You.
Atrius Health, a part of Optum and the leading value-based healthcare network serving Eastern Massachusetts, believes every team member makes a difference in the lives of our patients. We deliver an effective system of connected care across the communities we have served for decades. Our practices, located in wonderful communities throughout the greater Boston area, are forever dedicated to improving lives. And we want to invest in you.
If you’re a board-certified or board-eligible gastroenterologist we invite you to join us.
Our organization is a physician-led, multispecialty GI practice that offers a comprehensive approach to the evaluation and treatment of digestive disorders. We are the largest GI group in Optum, and our physician practices work an eight-to-five schedule with almost no call (standard is one in four weeks). You’re in charge of your practice and schedule.
“I’ve worked in GI for over 20 years, and I never knew a place like this existed.” – Razvan I Arsenescu, MD, Division Chief, Gastroenterology.
The doctors who work with us experience the joy of practicing medicine again. Atrius Health offers support for your entrepreneurial spirit with opportunities to build your own practice and create your own niche of excellence. We invite you to follow your passion and build a practice that you love. It’s something you won’t find at other organizations.
To help with patient flow and physician workload, Atrius Health is also developing new programs like physician extenders (PAs) in two locations with plans to expand to every site where we offer GI care.
Optum Center for Research and Innovation is also looking for gastroenterologists with an academic background or an interest in research.
We encourage those with a strong academic background to join us at Atrius Health or apply for grants through Optum. Our collegial community is collaborating with academia to provide resources for patient randomization and Epic support and analytics. We’re also building a tissue bank with a business entity for biomarking discovery in GI patients.
Your well-being is as important to Atrius Health as the well-being of the patients we serve.
We offer robust compensation and tremendous benefits, but that’s just the start. Discover all the ways we care for GIs, including:
- We leverage technology to support physicians to minimize in-basket management work, automated Rx renewals, normal lab result notification, e-consults, virtual scribes and more.
- Close collaboration between all providers and specialists.
- Teaching and research opportunities through our long-term relationships with Harvard Medical School and Tufts University School of Medicine
- Outstanding salary and exceptional benefits package, including health, dental and life insurance; malpractice coverage; 401(k) match; disability; CME reimbursement; and generous paid time off.
- Educational support program in partnership with Tuition.io
Together, we can change lives. Won’t you join us?
