Atrius Health Center for Education

Thank you for visiting the Atrius Health Physician Careers website, and I am pleased you are interested in learning more about teaching opportunities at Atrius Health.

Our organization has been training the next generation of physicians for over 50 years, and we have relationships with many academic hospitals in Boston such as Harvard Medical School and Tufts University School of Medicine. Additionally, we are extremely active with Advanced Practice Clinician training and teach students from Mass College of Pharmacy, Northeastern University, Boston College and a variety of other schools in Massachusetts.

Our Residency in Primary Care and Population Medicine, run in conjunction with Brigham and Women’s Hospital and the Department of Population Medicine at Harvard Pilgrim Health Care Institute and Harvard Medical School, is a cherished part of our organization and has graduated many leaders in primary care.

Our work within the Center for Education also places an emphasis on the personal growth of our own Atrius Health physicians. Some of our initiatives include academic mentoring, clinical coaching, improved work-life balance, and facilitated continuing education accreditation.

Atrius Health Center for Clinical Research

Welcome On behalf of the Center for Clinical Research, I am delighted you are exploring career opportunities at Atrius Health as well as interested in learning more about our research activities and resources.

The Center for Clinical Research at Atrius Health assists clinician investigators through a variety of services. We offer support with grant writing, contracts, compliance management, data analysis, and management of clinical trials and research projects from start to finish. With extensive management and coordination experience, our team is ready to assist clinicians to conduct research spanning across a broad range of clinical areas and collaborate with many local and nationally recognized organizations.

In addition to serving as Medical Director for the Center for Clinical Research, I am privileged to care for patients alongside an amazing care team in the department of Internal Medicine. My clinical and research focus is on the intersection of chronic disease management and high performance team based care. As a Harvard Medical School faculty member, I train medical students and primary care residents from Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center’s Internal Medicine Residency Program. Prior to joining Atrius Health in 2016, I worked at the RAND Corporation focusing on national health policy.

The purpose of creating the Atrius Health Innovation Center was to incorporate truly innovative change into our practice through the identification, testing and implementation of novel care delivery solutions.

Change and re-engineering are never easy, but when done well, ensure that we retain the very best foundational parts of the practice and embrace the new.

The Center for Healthcare Innovation strives to be a catalyst for change by pulling together initiatives throughout Atrius Health to foster a culture of innovation, as well as opportunities for collaboration, learning, and evaluation.

Our goal is to accelerate the introduction of care delivery models that improve the well-being of our patients, contribute to the vitality of our organization, and meet the needs of the future marketplace. This includes developing ideas into effective and sustainable solutions, and establishing partnerships to help us bring our ideas to fruition.

Our work reflects our belief that the future of patient care is in the home; we are passionate about building healthcare that meets our patients where they are. Using our system of innovation to solve for problems that patients and providers face every day, we work towards a health system that shatters barriers to wellness, adapts to the needs of its users, and integrates into people’s lives. Our portfolio of projects reflects our commitment to disrupting existing care delivery models with an eye towards bringing care to the patient in a safe and effective manner.
