We have an excellent opportunity for a Chief of Geriatrics to join Atrius Health.  This position reports to the Executive Chair of Internal Medicine and provides clinical, business, and strategic leadership for our primary care ambulatory geriatrics and palliative care programs.  In addition, this role will have oversight of our contracted skilled nursing facilities.   This position will help lead geriatric services to augment the overall performance of the Atrius Health‘s delivery system by collaborating with primary/ specialty care as well as working with outside contracted care.

The Ideal candidate will be committed to providing high quality, evidenced based medicine in a team environment.  This position includes both administrative and clinical responsibilities as well as provides clinical leadership to a staff of approximately 20 providers.

Ideal candidates will possess:

  • BC internal medicine or family medicine.
  • Fellowship trained in geriatrics or palliative medicine, but will consider those who do not have the formal training.
  • Clinical experience in skilled nursing facility care, ambulatory geriatrics and/or palliative medicine.
  • Excellent clinical and exceptional communication skills.
  • Possess 5 years of progressive leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated experience improving value based care outcome for the frail eldering through the optimization of care deliver thought out the delivery system.
  • Successful track record as being a creative thinking, developing new & innovative programs, as well as the ability to effectively collaborate across all specialties.
  • Ability to work well within and foster a culture of team based care.
